1) copy and paste dinput8.dll and InGameDeathCounter.ini into the same folder as DarkSoulsIII.exe
Installing with LazyLoader(https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/677):
1) Rename dinput8.dll to deathCounter.dll
2) Copy deathCounter.dll to the dllMods folder of LazyLoader
3) Copy InGameDeathCounter.ini into the same folder as DarkSoulsIII.exe
Chainloading:
1) look in InGameDeathCounter.ini
How to Use:
1) Open the Status Menu
2) Look in the bottom left corner
3) If it says "Deaths: #" then its working
3a) If it says "Deaths: 2147483647" try dying less
4) Setting are in InGameDeathCounter.ini look there to tweak
