📋 About This Mod
------------------------------------------------------
I have fixed a series of functional mods with the goal of helping them integrate into the vanilla game more seamlessly and with fewer errors.
------------------------------------------------------
What this mod does:
1. In the vanilla Playable Roulette - Gambling System mod, there is a bug where the roulette wheel disappears each time you load a save. This happens because when loading a save, GameSession. OnEnd triggers DespawnTable() and removes the roulette wheel entity, but the loaded flag for the corresponding table in TableManager remains true. As a result, during the next location check, the game thinks the table has already been loaded and skips InitTable(), causing the wheel to vanish.
After the fix, as shown below:
2. Disabled manual saving in the Phoenix Club
Players could repeatedly load saves to manipulate gambling outcomes, turning gambling into a money farming tool. I believe the vanilla game would never allow this. I only check the player's coordinates when they open the pause menu and attempt to save. It calculates the squared distance between the player's position and a fixed center point. If the player is inside the casino, the mod shows a "Cannot Save" message and blocks the save. This check only monitors manual save events; it is extremely lightweight and runs only once per save attempt, with virtually no performance impact. (It only affects manual saves – not auto‑saves, because other mods can globally disable auto‑saves, so I didn't see the need.)
After the fix, as shown below:
3. Dealers no longer harass the player endlessly
In the vanilla Playable Roulette - Gambling System mod, dealers would trigger automatic dialogue when the player came within a certain range. This caused players to hear the same one or two meaningless lines (e.g., "My life is so bad") repeatedly while playing, making it almost impossible to enjoy the game quietly. So I disabled the dealer's proactive dialogue, while leaving all non‑dealer NPCs' proactive dialogue untouched. (If you still hear an NPC repeating lines, it's just a gambler NPC standing close to you – not the dealer. I did not disable gambler NPCs' proactive dialogue because they appear randomly and are usually far from the player.)
After the fix, as shown below:
4. Faster chip dispensing and settlement
In the vanilla Playable Roulette - Gambling System mod, chip dispensing and settlement ran once every 4 frames, adding or removing one chip at a time. When you had hundreds or thousands of chips, the animation became painfully slow and could cause errors. For example, if the player left and returned to the table before all chips were cleared, chips could get stuck on the table. Therefore, I sped up the entire chip dispensing and settlement animation.
Specifically:
This gameplay mod fixes over a dozen bugs in the Gambling MOD, making it work smoothly with the vanilla game. It's for players who want a polished gambling experience without conflicts. With 33 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but maintained fix.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Targeted bug fixes—no more random crashes or broken interactions with the Gambling MOD.
- Recent update (May 2026) means it's actively maintained, not abandoned.
- Small but dedicated following (33 endorsements) suggests it does the job for those who need it.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 33 endorsements—this is a niche fix, so don't expect a huge community around it.
- Requires the Gambling MOD to be installed first, which isn't included here.
- No detailed patch notes or list of specific bugs fixed, so you're trusting the author's word.
For players who use the Gambling MOD and want it to work flawlessly with vanilla mechanics. If you're not using that mod, this is irrelevant. Skip if you're looking for new content—this is purely a bug-fix patch.
