Night Hunt Radio

Another of the top 3 stations that feature the major artists, I wanted this one to represent a darker, heavier pop sound than the stuff they had playing originally, which even though I didn't really like them, I must admit they did a good job of the type of mainstream radio pop crap that would be playing in the future. I wanted the songs to reflect the rest of the stations I've modded overall theme so these are them. The songs are still upbeat and can be danced to but the overall theme is as dark as can be without compromising the original theme of it being pop music, as well as fitting Night Citys dystopian themes, with an 80s music beat.  Songs are mostly in their original forms with the only changes being to match the environments sound levels and for time allowed.

Ulver was founded by Kristoffer Rygg, they have played a variety of musical genres over the last 25 years and have always delivered amazing results, very few of their albums recreate the sounds of previous albums and they are always evolving their sound. Starting in Norway in the early/mid 90s their first album was mostly black metal, lots of rumors about them recording it in the woods exist but the truth is they just used cheap equipment in a basement to make it sound like that. Over the years they have experimented with many styles of music, often creating masterpieces within the genres they explore, only to move on to another and repeat the process.  From Instrumental albums that could be the soundtrack to a terrifyingly creepy horror movie(teachings in silence) to actual movie soundtracks(Svidd Neger and Riverhead) to creating their own sort of neo-opera/orchestral arrangement(Messe  I. X-VI. X) created in collaboration with the Tromsø Chamber Orchestra and many more, they have explored music for a quarter of a century and still are going strong. Their most recent full lengths(The Assassination of Julius Cesar/Flowers of Evil) are pop sounding, they could remind one of the darker less popular songs from tears for fears if john carpenter was the producer and they had many more members, their halloween album released last month was produced by Carpenter Brut so go check it out as I know many here love him.  The themes blend mythology with Historical facts and Pop Culture, from the death of Princess Diana to the Massacre at Waco, Joan of Arc to the Night of Breaking Glass, I could go on forever with it. Dance with the Dead as many of you are familiar with from previous mods play horror movie themed synth music with a heavy metal influence.  The songs I've chosen for this station are their official remixes of a few other bands songs as they fit the theme of this overhaul perfectly, and of course there are still a couple originals from them as well.  The remixes include songs from Daft Punk and Chelsea Lankes.
