📋 About This Mod
Version
Made for game v2. 31. Tested with PL. Core functionality should work without PL; optional downloads may generate TweakXL errors, but that should not affect gameplay.
TL;DR
Ever found it strange how V would drain a whole bottle of Abydos in a single gulp or stuff an entire XXL burrito down their throat at once?
Sure, it is impressive—but what a bizarre thing to do.
Well, it does not have to be that way!
This mod does what it says on the tin: any consumable (Vanilla or modded) can last multiple uses.
Consumption types
Mod uses one of 3 settings for any consumable in your possession:
Vanilla-style: consume whole item.
Consume 1 out of MAX uses. Item gets removed when 0 uses remain.
Capacity based
Consume a set portion of 100% capacity. Item gets removed when 0% capacity remains.
Portion size can be randomized within specified boundaries (more information below).
Any consumable can use any consumption type, while different consumables can use different types at the same time.
If a consumable has a preconfigured type, it will be used by default. You can get presets for most Vanilla consumables and some modded ones in the optional files.
If no type is configured for consumable, it will be determined upon entering your inventory. This is the core functionality you get without any optional files.
You can choose which setting to use for non-preconfigured items: out of the box the mod defaults to capacity-based consumption with portion size of 20% (randomization ON).
Quantity displays
Single-use consumables are displayed in Vanilla way: if there is more than 1 in your inventory, that number will be shown in your interface.
Uses-based consumables' quantity is displayed as a number of uses remaining out of MAX. If there is more than 1 item in your inventory, the number of full (untouched) items will be shown in braces.
Capacity-based consumables' quantity is displayed as a remaining percentage. If there is more than 1 item in your inventory, the number of full (untouched) items will be shown in braces.
Capacity per use randomization
This gameplay mod lets you use consumables multiple times before they're depleted, with configurable defaults and optional presets for Vanilla and modded items. It's for players who want to stretch their resources and reduce inventory management. With 85 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but functional addition.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Recent update (May 2026) suggests active maintenance.
- Configurable settings let you tailor the mod to your playstyle.
- Presets for Vanilla and modded items add convenience.
⚠️ Cons
- Low endorsement count (85) relative to downloads (50k) – may be underappreciated.
- No detailed instructions or documentation provided by author.
- Potential compatibility issues with other gameplay mods that alter consumables.
For players who find consumable management tedious and want to reduce inventory micromanagement. Also for those who want to tweak how often items are used up. Skip if you prefer hardcore survival mechanics where resources are scarce.
