📋 About This Mod

Fixes an oversight in Dash/Dodge where the exhausted state is triggered only at 0 stamina instead of when stamina is low. Also improves the behavior of the exhausted state for a more consistent experience.

Why this mod?

Apparently, V can be completely exhausted and still perform a full-strength Dash/Dodge as long as there's a single pixel of stamina left. In vanilla, the exhausted state only triggers when stamina reaches exactly 0, not when you actually lack enough stamina to Dash/Dodge.

Things get even weirder once exhaustion kicks in. Whether you have 99% of the required stamina or barely enough energy to blink, the game gives you the exact same exhausted Dash/Dodge impulse. According to Night City physics, being a little tired and completely tired are apparently the same thing.

This mod fixes both issues. Exhaustion now activates whenever your stamina falls below the Dash/Dodge cost. Dash/Dodge impulse, the associated XP bonus, and even the brief 0. 3-second invulnerability window now scale dynamically with your remaining stamina.

The result is a system that behaves a little more like common sense: the more stamina you have left, the farther and more effectively you can Dash/Dodge. Running on fumes will still let you move, but don't expect a heroic leap across the room or a full-strength i-frame dodge. If you're completely out of stamina, your Dash/Dodge becomes little more than an awkward shuffle—which is probably what an exhausted merc should be capable of anyway.

Low-stamina Dash range comparision: vanilla vs. fixed (stamina at 2/3 Dash cost).
