Why this mod
Vanilla smart gun's target acquisition range is very limited. Most of them can not lock on to an enemy beyond 12-36m and even the highest range smart sniper rifle can only aquire targets within 42m. This is about 20-30% of its max shooting range which is impractical with such a futuristic technology. The limited target acquisition range not only subpar when compared to power and tech weapon's range but also restrict playstyle.
