▍ THE PROBLEM

Cyberpunk 2077 can apply the overburden warning and Encumbered status while a save or temporary player body is still being restored. Your live inventory may be under capacity, but the game evaluates it against incomplete state and treats the result as real.

The mod lets vanilla finish restoring inventory and progression state, then asks vanilla to evaluate the completed result. It also rebuilds the attached player's cached inventory weight from zero and checks every applied Encumbered effect against live weight and capacity.

▍ INSTALLATION

Mod manager: install the archive normally with Vortex or Mod Organizer 2.

Manual: extract the archive into the Cyberpunk 2077 game directory. The final file should be:

Cyberpunk 2077\r6\scripts\FalseEncumbranceFix\FalseEncumbranceFix.redsUninstall: remove that file. The mod stores no persistent save data; the original false-encumbrance behavior may return.
