📋 About This Mod

This mod randomizes NPCs so that duplicates get replaced, and any new citizens added through ArchiveXL are automatically incorporated into the crowd.

Due to the limited number of available in-game appearances, you should consider adding more citizens using the following mods:

expanded citizens (Archive XL)

additionally too:

expanded workout citizens (archive XL)

You can not combine this mod with other mods that do the same like:

No More Duplicate NPCs

Nova Crowds

use mine or that ones .(or disable nova crowd randomizer, but you will get a lot of side effects described lower, not because of my mod!)

CUSTOMIZATIONS: (requires script editing):

you can add NPCS you never want to see to:

alwaysRandomizeExact = { }

and you can add appearances that you never want to be swapped to:

blacklistRequired = { }

FAQ

1) Does this mod remove every possible duplicate?

Cyberpunk has a limited pool of appearances. For example, there are only about eight female workout outfits. If a gym has more than eight female NPCs, this mod can not create more variations.

To improve this, add more citizen appearances using my other mods that introduce additional citizens to the .ent files. That brings it down from about 15% to 1%.

Also, Cyberpunk references the same appearances with different names in different ent files. This duplicates can not be recognized at all!

Also f.e. the E3 crowd expansion references existing appearances in the default ent file. But this ones are referenced in other ent files too. So this produces unrecognizable duplicates too as the names do not match but the underling meshes are the same. Things like this.

2) There’s other mods that removes duplicates — how is this different?

One other mod is not randomizing everyone as far as i know, only duplicates (a thing needed in my opinion to use all possible appearances i added with my other mods, which was the reason for this mod to begin with). And i had problems with vanishing/truncated/removed/shirked population with that mod as posted in my bug report there.

For Nova Crowd i got a wild mix of everyone gets replaced from everywhere including sudden males speaking with female voices, high level well clothed npcs, working out suddenly in the gym and things like that. As if all crowd, no matter if badlands rich etc get all mixed together and placed randomly. You will not get that here with my mod unless you use an addon mod that injects females into male ent files.

3) What is the duplicate/removal rate without using a citizen expansion mod?

You can expect around 10–20% duplicates in the whole world around you (!) not just the visible one

(based on mod statistics, which you can enable and check in the CET console)
