📋 About This Mod

Provides settings for how many perk or attribute points you receive when you level up - via Mod Settings or manually (you can edit the default value in the redscript file directly).

You can also set how many levels between when you receive the configured points (eg. if set to 3, you will only receive points at levels 3, 6, 9, 12, etc.)

The default settings match the vanilla gains (1 perk and attribute point per level), so the mod won't do anything unless you configure it.

This does not work retroactively - if you add it to an ongoing playthrough, or change settings, it will only affect future level-ups. It also does not change perk points received via other means (eg. shards, skill progression, mod systems in Stealthrunner or Merc Protocol, etc.)

You can also set perk points gained to 0. This allows potential balancing when using systems that make perk points redundant for vanilla systems (eg. Perkware) alongside mods that provide their own perk and perk point progression systems (eg. Stealthrunner or Merc Protocol). Please note that Perkware's default settings remove any perk points gained while it is active, including ones earned from sources such as Stealthrunner and Merc Protocol - if using this kind of setup, you should disable that by toggling the "Allow perk points-Stealthrunner" setting to Enabled in Perkware's settings.

Compatibility

Likely compatible with everything that doesn't try to modify the way vanilla points are gained via level-up - if there are other such mods being used, the one with higher priority will take effect.

Will also be compatible with mods that add "bonus" points on level, without altering the vanilla points gained (eg. settings available in Skillful Attributes for perk points) - the effects will stack.

Will likely not need to be updated between game updates as long as you update its dependencies.
