📋 About This Mod

It has come to my attention that there is a persistent bug with REDmod itself that causes crashes with the Airstrike weapon mod. This is something CDPR needs to resolve - it is not something I can fix, and has been acknowledged by prolific creators of popular REDmods as well. Unless you already use other REDmods that you can't do without, or don't care about that weapon mod causing crashes, I would recommend using the Redscript version created by yakuzadeso rather than this one.

The wanted stars that are displayed when scanning enemies are based off a calculation of the NPC's power differential relative to the player. The problem is, this calculation is based on player level, and CP2077 2. 0 made all enemies scale with the player - so now all enemies display 3 stars, no matter how relatively strong or weak they are.

This has always annoyed me since CP2077 2. 0 released, and I finally decided to try tackling it myself despite knowing very little about creating mods for this game. I managed to figure it out, and changed it to be based on the underlying enemy rarity instead of power differential. The rarities and their star counts are as follows:

  • []Trash and Weak enemies are 1 star.[/]

    []Normal enemies are 2 stars.[/]

    []Rare enemies are 3 stars.[/]

    []Elite enemies are 4 stars.[/]

    []Bosses are 5 stars.[/]

    Compatibility

Should be compatible with just about anything that doesn't attempt to do the exact same thing.

It doesn't affect anything else in the scanning interface, so it will be fine with mods that change things like the street cred and eddie bounties, or the transgressions - as long as they don't touch the stars. It will also play fine with mods that change enemy rarities.

May need updates when CP2077 itself receives updates. I will have to check each time.

    Q. Redscript version?

    A. yakuzadeso has graciously created and posted a Redscript port of this mod. If you prefer Redscript, please download and endorse it here.
