📋 About This Mod

- Introduction -

I like adding a ton of clothes and Virtual Atelier's to my game -- thank you so much to all the modders making those things! -- but one thing that always nudged me wrong was coming into a shop and everything is 1 $€ and Legendary. I realize it'd be a bit of a pain to correctly price everything though, so for the longest time I would take out the reds files for VA's and run them through a small script I had made which randomized the prices, and then copy it back. But doing that every time a shop updated or a new one was released? Yeah, it got old. Fast.

But then I started to learn a bit of Redscript and figured I'd try to translate the mod. This was last year sometime and I immediately got stuck so I gave up pretty quickly. This year when I came back to the game I started over and got maybe a quarter into it, then other things took over interest, then I did bits and pieces here and there as my skills with Redscript grew. Finally, now, I have finished it. Yay! ✧。٩(ˊᗜˋ )و✧*。

So what does it actually do? Well once you load into the game it gives the engine a grace period before it starts going through all the shops you have installed, and it checks how many different prices are set. If there are less than 3 (by default, configurable) it deems the shop having flat pricing and in need of a fix'er up'er. Next step it goes through all the clothing in the shop and tries to match names to a pre-set list of categories. Things like underwear and jackets get different prices, items which are likely to be the same "family" is grouped, then if there's a mention of exclusive material like chrome, gold, silver, a multiplier is added. Finally, a store-wide multiplier may be added as well, but for that to work each Atelier shop actually need to add that flag. More on that can be read in "For Modders" section below.

When all the stores that needed it has had their prices generated they're stored to a json file for use the next time, so it only takes resources the first time it finds a store without prices.

TL;DR: Make shop get proper price, many gud. ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜
