REDemption Part 4 - Pol Dance

Russia's 8th Guards Division has taken up positions just East of Kiev along the Dnieper River. They appear to be taking a siege posture rather than an assault on the urban center of the city. However, there have been news reports of Russian special forces taking key buildings on the Eastern side of the river. Ukrainian anti-tank infantry teams have taken up overwatch positions in buildings along the river to prevent Russian vehicles from getting across to the West side of the city. Ukrain's air force has been mostly decimated, but several NATO squadrons have now been moved into the theater. German and American armored brigades are now holding positions on the outskirts of Kiev as they muster strength for a push Eastward at a later time. British ground forces are also preparing to move toward Ukraine. The American ballistic missile defense site in Poland has been repaired, and has returned to operation. Belarus, silent to this point, has annouced their alignment with Russia. They also annouced that they intend to hold a vote on allowing themselves to be annexed into Russia. Should Belarus become a part of Russia, only Lithuania and Poland would separate the Russian territory of Kaliningrad from the rest of Russia. NATO and its allies are attempting to establish an overall leveraged position so they can negotiate an end to the hostilities before things continue to escalate.
