📋 About This Mod
Smoothens out player levelling/progression, and makes high skill-levels accessible in less than a M&B development-cycle's timeframe worth of gameplay.
- You will no longer unimmersively sprint as fast trough the first levels.
- Higher levels are more accessible, instead of hitting an invisible barrier the higher you level. We all know the pain of levelling up in

- Reaching skill level 90 takes the same time & XP as vanilla. Levels before 90 are slower than vanilla, while above 90 it becomes faster.
- The total experience needed to level a skill to 100 is about 5% lower.
- The total experience needed to level a skill to 200 is about 30% lower.
- The total experience needed to level a skill to 300 is about 37% lower.
- The total experience needed to level a skill to 1024 is almost 60% lower.
Notice: If installed mid-game, levelling will be applied retroactively (Vanilla behaviour). Meaning next time XP is gained, that skill's level will be updated, so depending on how late-game you are you may see small or significant skill level jumps. I recommend using this mod when starting a new game or if your skill levels are mostly still under 90.
Balance: This mod may be unbalanced when used together with a XP multiplier mod. XP multipliers typically make all of the levelling faster (or slower), while this mod smooths it out,making lower levels a bit slower and higher levels more accessible. See the graphs (images).
Compatibility:
Safe to add and remove mid-game. Ideally you'll want to stick with a single XP mod from the start of a game.
Should have no incompatibilities, except for mods that edit the same exact thing, but should still be able run together. In this case set this mod to load first.
Harmony-patches DefaultCharacterDevelopmentModel. InitializeXpRequiredForSkillLevel by prefix and prevents both the game and any mod loaded after it to run the method.
Installation:
Same as for any other module. Unzip it and place it in the game's install folder "...\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules".
If on Steam, right click the game title -> "manage" -> "browse local files". Both Zip and 7zip downloads available.
If it is installed correctly you'll get a notification text on the bottom left of the screen at the main menu.
