📋 About This Mod

A minimalistic mod for maximum compatibility.

Become friends with as many companions as you feel like.

Note that this mod just "removes" the cap, but the game has a limited number of companions. There are mods that add/unlock more companions.

Downsides/balance: It's very expensive to properly equip all your companions.

Compatibility:

Safe to add and remove mid-game.

Harmony-patches DefaultClanTierModel. GetCompanionLimitForTier by postfix.

Installation:

Same as for any other module. Unzip it and place it in the game's install folder "...\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules".

If on Steam, right click the game title -> "manage" -> "browse local files".

Both Zip and 7zip downloads available.

If it is installed correctly you'll get a notification text on the bottom left of the screen at the main menu.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community trust: 4,772 endorsements and 158,477 downloads show it's a go-to mod.
  • Zero hassle to install or uninstall—just drop it in and you're done.
  • Works with any mod setup thanks to its minimalistic approach.

⚠️ Cons

  • Not updated since April 2020—might break with newer Bannerlord patches.
  • The game still has a limited number of companions, so you'll need other mods to add more.
  • Equipping all your companions gets pricey, so be ready to grind for gold.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Bannerlord players who want to build a massive entourage without being capped. If you're tired of choosing between companions and want to collect them all, this is your mod. Skip it if you're fine with the vanilla limit or want more companions added—this only removes the cap, not the roster size.
