DIMENSIONAL MALFUNCTION

On XX/XX/1982, one of the most unbelievable yet important events in human history happened - All of Canada and not insignificant parts of the northern United States were suddenly covered under a dome of unknown mist/fog like material, physical objects could pass through, but all forms of visual and radar assisted vision failed to penetrate the dome. As the world reeled in shock, an unknown military force began to emerge from the dome, pushing forward and establishing seemingly a buffer zone around the dome itself. Immediately, all observers noticed the similarity of equipment to the United States military. Hours later, the world learned the unthinkable - these forces announced themselves as members of the United States military - the United States of an alternate world. What would be considered pulp science fiction had now become a shocking reality, and little did all involved know how destructive and dire the results of this first contact would be... DIMENSIONAL MALFUNCTION is a mod that presents the player with an alternate universe United States (and friends) faction. This faction, while having many similarities, is also quite different, packing a far wider amount and kind of vehicles and formations than the base US military - including some you thought you'd never see in an "Amercian" military. It has both it's advantages and weaknesses to learn and exploit. So far the mod covers the combined US and Canadian forces of UNAN from around 1983-1985, with the UNAN's equipment being updated rapidly through the years as the UNAN pours everything it has into what it views as a final Hail Mary. Current plans for expansion are the further the timescale and add new units (original, bought or reverse engineered) for UNAN, and add the Mexican Army, a largely Soviet equipped force which primarly pulls rear guard duties, but can still pack a mean punch.
