📋 About This Mod
OVERVIEW
Generate Huge Worlds unlocks additional Random World Generation map sizes from 11K up to 16K for 7 Days to Die V3. 0.
Added RWG map sizes:
-
[]11K[/]
[]12K[/]
[]13K[/]
[]14K[/]
[]15K[/]
[]16K[/]
All vanilla map sizes remain available.
The mod has been tested and confirmed working with 7 Days to Die V3. 0.
This is an XML-only mod. Harmony is not required.
WHAT THIS MOD CHANGES
The main mod only expands the list of map sizes available in the RWG world generation menu.
It edits the RWG size selection interface in:
XUi_Menu/windows.xml
The main mod does not change:
-
[]Town or city density[/]
[]Roadside or wilderness POI density[/]
[]Trader count[/]
[]Biome generation rules[/]
[]Character progression[/]
[]Buffs[/]
[]Entity classes[/]
[]rwgmixer.xml[/]
Optional files are available separately for players who want denser world generation or a pre-generated 16K world.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This is an experimental mod that was originally created for personal use.
World sizes above the vanilla limit are not officially balanced around the standard RWG configuration. Generation time, town spacing, POI distribution, world layout, save size, and gameplay performance may vary depending on your hardware, selected RWG settings, game version, and installed mods.
Use 14K–16K worlds with patience, especially during world generation.
WORLD GENERATION TIME
Maps larger than the vanilla sizes can take significantly longer to generate.
A 16K world may appear to stop progressing for several minutes during certain generation stages. This does not necessarily mean that the game has crashed.
While generating a large world:
-
[]Do not force-close the game too quickly.[/]
[]Do not repeatedly click the interface while waiting.[/]
[]Allow the world generator enough time to finish.[/]
Generation time depends heavily on your CPU, available RAM, storage device, selected RWG settings, game version, and other installed mods.
TEST SYSTEM
The mod was tested on a system with:
-
[]RAM: 32 GB[/]
[]CPU: Modern mid-to-high-end processor[/]
[]Storage: SSD[/]
Even on this system, generating a 16K world can take a considerable amount of time.
Your results may differ depending on your hardware and mod setup.
GAMEPLAY PERFORMANCE
Large maps—especially 14K, 15K, and 16K worlds—can place substantially more load on your system during gameplay.
Possible effects include:
-
[]Lower FPS[/]
[]Increased stuttering[/]
[]Slower chunk loading[/]
[]Longer save and world loading times[/]
[]Higher RAM usage[/]
[]Larger generated-world and save files[/]
The larger the world, the more system resources it may require.
PERFORMANCE RECOMMENDATIONS
For very large worlds, consider reducing demanding graphics settings such as:
-
[]Dynamic Mesh Distance[/]
[]Object LOD Distance[/]
[]View Distance[/]
[]Other distance-related or LOD-related settings[/]
SSD storage is strongly recommended.
Upscaling technologies such as DLSS, FSR, or XeSS may also improve performance, depending on your hardware.
OPTIONAL FILES
1. RWG DENSITY BOOST FOR LARGE MAPS
Generate Huge Worlds only unlocks additional map size options. It does not increase the number of towns, cities, roadside POIs, wilderness POIs, or other generated locations.
RWG Density Boost for Large Maps is an optional add-on for players who find that their 11K–16K worlds feel too empty.
The add-on modifies the large-world definition in rwgmixer.xml and increases:
-
[]Township density[/]
[]City density[/]
[]Roadside POI density[/]
[]Wilderness POI density[/]
Use this optional file when you want large RWG maps to feel more populated.
Compatibility warning:
RWG Density Boost for Large Maps may conflict with other mods that edit the same large-world section of rwgmixer.xml.
2. PRE-GENE

-
[]Dynamic Mesh Distance[/]
-
[]Lower FPS[/]

- Performance and world layout may vary depending on hardware and settings.
This mod is for 7 Days to Die players who want to explore massive worlds beyond the vanilla size limit and are willing to tolerate longer generation times and potential performance issues. It is not recommended for players with low-end hardware or those who prefer quick, stable world generation.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Back up your save files before generating a large world.
- Be patient during world generation; a 16K map may appear stuck for several minutes.
