📋 About This Mod
Community X4 9.x compatibility fork of TaterTrade by Ludsoe + DeadAirRT (GPL-3.0). Two automated trade orders for player ships: TaterTrade (54 params, granular) + DeadTater (21 params, queue-aware, fleet-aware). Fixes silent profit-tracking
TaterTrade (Classic v8. 0. 2) — X4 9.x Compatibility Fork
Community-maintained continuation of TaterTrade (Automated Trader Script) originally by Ludsoe (v1-4) and DeadAirRT (v5-7), under the GPL-3. 0 licence DeadAirRT granted at retirement (September 2025). Baseline is DeadAirRT's final v7. 05. Tested on X4 9. 0.
What it does
Two automated trade orders for player-owned ships:
-
[]TaterTrade (Ludsoe's original) — a granular control panel: faction bans, ware basket presets (all wares / legal wares / ship-building / high-tech / refined / bio / etc.), station-mode flag, distance penalty, home sector/station, per-faction excluded/included sectors.[/]
[]DeadTater (DA's variant) — opinionated defaults, queue-aware (per-faction round-robin so multiple traders don't spam one wharf) and fleet-aware (subordinate ships inherit the commander's order).[/]
Plus shared infrastructure:
-
[]Per-faction rate-limited queue — keeps traders from piling onto one faction's stations.[/]
[]Lifetime profit tracking per ship — cumulative profit stored per ship, visible via the DA Trader Profit menu when running alongside the DA Scripts fork.[/]
[]Fleet-mirror — subordinate ships inherit their commander's TaterTrade/DeadTater order automatically.[/]
New in v8. 0. 2
-
[]Full DLC faction coverage in the trade-ban list — added Queendom of Boron, Yaki, Riptide Rakers and Vigor Syndicate to the per-faction trade-ban toggles. The trader already traded with these by default; now you can individually include or exclude them like any other faction. Labels use the vanilla faction names (localized automatically), and each toggle is guarded so running without the relevant DLC is safe. Existing traders are unaffected.[/]
Good to know — trade range
On the TaterTrade order, keep Max gate distance to buy/sell at 5 or below for reliable searches on X4 9.x. Above 5, the search can intermittently come back empty. The default scales with the captain's skill, so a high-skill captain may auto-set it higher — just cap it at 5 in the order params.
The DeadTater order doesn't have this limitation and works at any range — if you want no-fuss automated trading, use DeadTater.
Requirements
-
[]X4 Foundations 9. 0 or later.[/]
[]No DLC dependencies — works on the base game (the new DLC faction toggles simply appear only when you own that DLC).[/]
[]No mod dependencies — standalone; works fine alongside DA Scripts / DA Eco but doesn't require them.[/]
-
[]X4 Foundations 9. 0 or later.[/]
