📋 About This Mod
Complete rework of all Witcher Set through stats and bonus, to make them more unique, balanced yet powerful.
What's the purpose?
This Next-Gen 4. 04 and Brothers In Arms compatible mod rebalances all the Witcher School Set, in an attempt to make them more unique and distinguish each other. They are still the best and valuable to craft, but now no longer do we have Bear > Cat.
Keep in mind the main goal is making the set more balanced yet powerful for each other. Your feedback is important and may help my big project.
General Improvement
- All Set Bonus are reworked. The First Set Bonus depends on the equipped set number, while Second Set Bonus has two: passive effect (no condition) and active effect (with condition or increase effect).
- Incorporate progressive Minor Set Bonus by FreakVIp. The First Set Bonus is now active before you reach Grandmaster level.
- On Normal New Game, you start with a maximum of 3 equipped count for the first bonus, then this equipped count increases when you upgrade to the next tier until Mastercrafted level.
- On New Game Plus, you start with a maximum of 3 equipped count for the first bonus, then it goes straight to 6 equipped count when crafted Enhanced level.
- You unlock the Second Set Bonus when crafted Grandmaster level. Or Mastercrafted level if you are on New Game Plus.
- Importing normal armour when starting New Game Plus no longer has a Set Bonus. Given you more reason to scavenge their "Legendary" version.
- Each tier has the same base level requirement, in the order progression of:
Level = 15 -> 25 -> 30 -> 35 -> 40 (May vary on NG+)
- Their total Damage/Armour are slightly different, though.
- Each tier has the same number of stats lists but with distinct progression (armour gain less and swords gain more). In the order progression of:
Armour = 5 -> 6 -> 6 -> 6 -> 6
Sword = 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 6
- Steel and Silver have the exact same amount of stats and level requirements.
- Total glyphs progression: 1 -> 3 -> 5 -> 7 -> 7
- Total runes progression: 0 -> 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 3
- Weight and price adjusted.
- Each set has one "Sword Quest", obtainable from a specific quest or easy to miss. They all offer alternative mastercrafted stats based on vanilla and are counted for the set.
- Iris and Aerondight now apply to any witcher set, and they are indestructible. But using both won't increase the set count.
Cat School Set
Vanilla is meant for fast killing, mostly against humans, with the trade-off of poor resistance. Good set, just because it makes fast attacks very powerful.
The mod readjusts the resistance balance, with bleeding resistance, so it is as effective against both monster and humans.
The set bonus is nerfed but p
