Better Fur for Animals (Fluffy Animals) (Direct X12 Only)

Inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Monster Hunter and the Fluffworks-Mod of Skyrim I created this mod. It aims to bring more visual quality to the game and make the animals more realistic and truely next gen (eventhough the technique has its roots in the ps2-era).

I remodeled all living animals, updated the textures by handcrafting new or upscaling existing ones whilst trying to keep a realistic yet close to vanilla appearance.

- completely recreated and improved custom fur shader (requires DX12)

- improved textures

- improved and custom UV Maps for some animals (for example bear berserkers)

- moving fur for dead animals/carpets

Every living animal with fur is covered. This includes:

  Good to know: Performance

  The mod doesnt cost any noticeable performance. I "measured" the performance without frame generation in different scenarios and locations and could not notice any performance drop. But I guess it also depends on your machine and settings.

  This mod introduces higher resolution textures and high poy meshes for animals, so VRAM-usage will be increased.

  - Drop the mod in your modfolder in the witcher 3 directory
