Lore Dandelion for The Witcher 2 by Flix

Introduction

• []Dandelion canonically has cornflower blue eyes (and blond hair) in the books. Even if you don't care much for book lore, in TW3 he has blue eyes, so the mismatch was bothering me enough to make this mod.

  []With this mod installed, Dandelion will now have blue eyes in TW2, instead of the default green.

  []There is also a second version that will give him both blue eyes and blond hair, instead of brown hair.

  Installation

  • []You should choose only one version of the mod to install at once.

    []Extract the "game" folder (and "character" folder if using blond hair version) from the zip file into the "CookedPC" folder of your Witcher 2 installation.

    []For example mine looks like: C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition\CookedPC\game\npc\dandelion.w2ent

    Compatibility

    • []This mod edits the w2ent file (model reference) for Dandelion, to change the referenced eye texture from green to blue (and the referenced hair color from brown to blond in the alternate version). I did not spot any other mods on the Nexus that alter this particular file.

      []The blond-hair version of the mod also edits Dandelion's xbm file (base texture), in order to get the eyebrows, sideburns, and soul patch to match the new hair color. Other Dandelion mods that alter the same file would not be compatible.

      []The mod affects no other NPCs.

        If you play TW1, I also recommend you pick up NPC Eye Overhaul, which gives Dandelion blue eyes in that game as well. Then continuity will be maintained between all 3 games.
