Settings Updater

input.settings, input.xml and user.settings updater

Can be used with TW3MM, manual install or Vortex

Installation

• []Install ASI Loader

  How: copy dinput8.dll to bin\x64 and bin\x64_dx12

  dinput8.dll must be placed near witcher3.exe

  []Install Settings Updater

  How: unpack to game dir

  settings_updater.asi must be placed near witcher3.exe

  WARNING: For Old-Gen unpack only x64, do not unpack x64_dx12, as it will confuse TW3MM

  How it works:

  Just before game starts settings_updater.asi scans mods folder for certain files

  input.settings.txt

  input.settings.part.txt

  bin/config/r4game/user_config_matrix/pc/input.xml (inside a mod, not game itself)

  input.xml.txt

  input.xml.part.txt

  user.settings.txt

  dx12user.settings.txt

  user.settings.part.txt

  dx12user.settings.part.txt

  mods\modSkipDialogs\input.settings.txt is checked

  mods\modSkipDialogs\content\input.settings.txt is NOT checkedAnd then updates input.settings, user(dx12).settings in Documents and game input.xml

  Includes automatic uninstall for input.xml

  Does NOT include uninstall for input.settings and user.settings

  Additional feature: prevents added input being out of sync, so useful even when using TW3MM

  Vanilla has:

  IK_LShift=(Action=Sprint)

  Some mod adds:

  IK_LShift=(Action=None)

  Now Sprint key is 'out of sync'

  Going to Key Bindings menu and trying to set key usually fails, first need to unbind key (click middle mouse button), which is very confusing

  This tool automatically does:

  IK_LShift=(Action=Sprint)

  which is correct in 99% of cases
