Reasonable Slower Time

What's the purpose?

In the vanilla game, it takes a real 96 minutes (1 hour, 36 minutes) for 24 in-game hours to pass in The Witcher 3.

This mod reduces it to a real 240 min (4 hours) for 24 in-game hours, but only during gameplay. And vanilla flow time during dialogue or cutscene.

I choose a 240 min flow, as I generally play more than 2 hours a day, so I can feel like I spend half a day in the game. While keeping the 96-minute flow for the scene because most scenarios were made with the vanilla flow time in mind.

There is an optional file that fixes some scenes starting at the wrong time, ruining the immersion:

- "Kaer Morhen" quest (after the wake-up nightmare)

- Ghost from the Past

- High Stakes

- A Dangerous Game

- Where the Cat and Wolf Play

- The Great Escape

- Recommended installing Better ToD - Blood and Wine.

Let me know of other quests having a set time, but that you think are wrong.

Installation

1. Use Witcher 3 Mod Manager, or extract the files in your "Mods" folder of the game's directory, Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition.

2. Launch Script Merger and merge the script if it conflicts.

How to uninstall?

Delete the folder "mod0_reasonable_slower_time".

Compatibility and Conflict

This is a script and bundled mod that only affects the following file:

- scripts\game\r4game.ws

- quests\prologue\q001_beginning.w2phase

Obviously, it's not compatible with similar mods, such N'Tak' Time.

Recommended Mod

Below is the list of mods I recommend with mine:

- Better ToD - Blood and Wine : Most recommended. Fix the wrong time set for some B&W quests.

- Lamp on Player's boat : Most recommended. Add a lamp on the boat that ignites during the night.

- Road Lights - DLC : Add a torch in White Orchard road.

- Master Mirror Challenge Time Extender : Extend the timer duration during the "Whatsoever A Man Soweth..." quest.

- White Orchard Cardinal Directions Fix : Put the sun direction in White Orchard from east to west, like in real life.
