Realistic Rain Textures

Summary

A simple mod that makes the rain particles look more realistic.

• []Added more density to heavy rain so it actually looks heavy.[/]

  []Made the rain drops smaller and slightly more transparent so they look less like ice needles and more like rain drops, especially when in motion.[/]

  • []V1 - Reduces rain drop size from vanilla. Has the default vanilla transparency levels. Heavy rain drops will be slightly harder to see during the day and night.[/]

    V2

    - Reduces rain drop size from vanilla. Has 20% more transparency than V1. Heavy rain drops will be a bit harder to see during the day, but will look less brighter than V1 at night.[/]

    []V3 - Much smaller rain drop size compared to V1 and V2. Has 20% more tansparency, same as V2, but modifies more files. Modifies rain drop animation textures so that overall drop sizes are smaller than before. Reduced size of all water drop files as much as possible without sacrificing visibility. Harder visibility than V2 during the day (which is actually realistic), but drops are even smaller than before. (This is the version I'm using currently. Looks good with Immersive Lighting mod.)[/]

    The mod comes with ZERO performance cost.

    Results will vary based on Lighting mod used.

    REMINDER: You should test each version anyway to see which suits your preferred look
