📋 About This Mod
During my playthrough in v 4.04, I experienced some bug that removed Geralt's ability to restore his breath after resurfacing from a dive. The loss is persistent, meaning it persists after a save/quit/load. So I just wrote a mod to fix
Please note that this mod doesn't fix the cause of the problem, it just puts Geralt's air regeneration back to normal.
At least, until the next occurrence of the bug.
The mod can be safely installed during a playthrough. It also can (and should) be safely removed after use.
That bug is nasty, because it basically gives you one breath pool for the whole game, that can't be refilled, ever. Moreover, it can take several hours between the time the bug occurs and the time you know it has occurred.
Exit the game if necessary.
Install the mod as any other mod (put the unzipped folder modRemoveDiveBug inside the folder <installation folder>/mods; if the mods folder doesn't exist, create it beforehand, it should be in the same folder as other game folders like bin and content).
Launch the game, load some saved game.
Before drawing any weapon, ensure that Geralt is standing on solid ground and isn't under any potion effect (normal food/water is ok).
Draw your steel sword.
Sheathe your sword.
Check that Geralt's breath refills after a dive.
Save, quit, remove the mod.
Only tested with version 4. 04 ("next gen").
