No More Rolling Down Stairs (Next Gen)

What's the purpose?

To quote the original description:

I hated that a couple steps or even a 6 inch drop-off would often cause Geralt to fall and roll head over heels.  That just made him look silly!  Even the drowners were laughing.

So here's a small tweak that fixes the worst of that.  Now instead of rolling down the stairs, Geralt will do a quick little stutter step and keep on moving.

Furthermore, CD Projekt Red introduced a new fix in the free Next Gen update that prevents Geralt from rolling down when walking on stairs, as well as tweaks the fall damage.

But they only fix when walking, not when running. Simply because it's... realistic to fall if we run down (it may even kill you in real life).

So this mod has been updated to the new Next Gen scripts while keeping the little tweak of the original mod.

Now the mod becomes a "Gameplay Changes" rather than a "Bug Fix" mod.

Installation

For newcomers/beginners: I invite you to reading The Tome of Witcher 3 Modding

0 DON'T USE VORTEX!!

1. Use Witcher 3 Mod Manager, or extract the files in your "Mods" folder of the game's directory, Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition.

2. Launch Script Merger and merge the script if it conflicts.

How to uninstall?

Delete the folder "modNoStairRolling". Then launch Script Merger and remerge again.

Compatibility and Conflict

Reminder: Next-Gen compatible!

This is a script mod that only contains the following script:

scripts/game\explorations\exploration_movement_system\exploration_substates\explorationStateLand.ws

So don't forget to run Script Merger.

If you wish to use it on the Classic 1. 32, install the original mod.
