📋 About This Mod
Did you ever notice that there is a light source that follows Geralt around, removing any darkness around him and making the light feel very artificial and sometimes making Geralt... pasted into the scene even with Ray-Tracing? This mod disables just that!
This mod is an evolution of my previous No Artificial Player Light mod, but done in a different way for Next-Gen. It is compatible with ANY lighting mod and was made for the Next-Gen Update for the game. If you are not on the Next-Gen update, or want some of the finer options that mod allows for, use that mod. There is a menu built-in into this mod where you can toggle the lights and it's type on and off in real-time.
Installation:
1. Download the file;
2. Extract it using the unpacker of your choosing (eg. winzip\winrar\7zip);
3. Drag and drop the extracted folders (bin and Mods) into your "\The Witcher 3\" game directory;
4. Navigate to "The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\";
5. Add the following line to "dx12filelist.txt" at the bottom:
artificialplayerlight.xml;
6. Install Shared Imports;
7. Play the game;
8. Toggle which type of lights you want to have enabled or disabled! By default both types of lights will be disabled.
Uninstallation:
1. Set the option to Default in the mod menu to reset the value it's default state.
2. Remove the installed mod from "The Witcher 3\Mods\" folder and remove artificialplayerlight.xml from" "The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\";
