Alters the way grindstone and workbench buffs work; Instead of being on a timer, they will now use charges like oils, which decrease when you deal and take damage respectively.
The reason I made this mod is because I found that having my weapon decrease in sharpness over time regardless of use was just not realistic. I feel that this mod will remedy that problem. Upon activating either buff, Geralt will receive 100 charges for the weapons upgrade, and 25 charges for the armor. Each buff will last until its charge counter reaches zero. The bonuses remain the same as vanilla (15% damage and 5% armor).
I'm planning a couple updates for the mod down the road:
- []Menu options with sliders for charge amounts (very soon) - I'm probably going to leave the defaults as 100 and 25 but I feel it would be nice to be able to choose it for yourself. Done!
- []Functionality even closer to how oils work - The way these buffs work, they are applied to Geralt himself as opposed to each individual piece of equipment (like oils). Ideally I'd like to change this, but at the moment I'm still investigating whether it will be possible.
- Make the same alteration to "Place of Power" buffs, depleting the charge upon use of the buffs respective sign. This could be bundled with GSaWBC, or it could come as a separate mod. Done! Check it out here: Place of Power Buff Charges
