📋 About This Mod
In Vanilla Geralts face stays dry no matter what, you can swim, dive or be outside in the rain, his body (and armor) gets wet, his face is dry.
-
[]Fixed a minor bug; Geralts face now shouldn't get randomly wet (while riding, he will only be affected by rain)
[
]Optimized the code[]Rework the way the wet face and toxic face effect get reapplied after certain other effects
[]removed the desktop.ini
-
[]Fixed a minor bug, if you have imported a w2 savegame and didnt have neck tattoo, the mod thinks you had one if geralts face gets wet
[
]Optimized the code[]Added an optional version with better compatibility with EE/Lazarus and Toxicity Decotion Critical Fix... mod
(GM is compatible with either version)
-
[]Geralts face gets dynamically wet; his face can get wet if you are swimming, rolling through water or staying outside in the rain (whatever the game defines as outside)
[]His face gets dry after roughly 50s
[]Some effects won't overwrite the toxic face effect, e.g. your quen shield breaking or critically burning would have removed it before
[]If you load a save where your toxicity is level above 0, the toxic face effect will now refresh/apply itself automatically
[]Decoctions now are also able to trigger the toxic face effect
- ( If you don't like the toxic face effect, i added a mod that removes/replaces that texture, so Geralts face will look normal no matter the toxicity level)

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved fix (810 endorsements) for an annoying immersion breaker
- Simple, focused mod that does exactly what it says
- Lightweight and unlikely to conflict with other visual mods
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020 — may not be compatible with the latest game version or next-gen update
- Only affects Geralt's face, so if you wanted more comprehensive wetness effects, this won't cover it
For Witcher 3 players who notice and care about small immersion details like wet faces. If you're a screenshot enthusiast or roleplayer who wants Geralt to look properly soaked after a swim, this is for you. Skip if you don't care about such minor visual inconsistencies.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using the next-gen update of Witcher 3, check if this mod has been updated or patched, as old mods may break.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to easily enable/disable this mod without messing up your game files.
- Since it's a simple texture/mesh fix, load order shouldn't matter much, but placing it after other visual mods is safer.
