📋 About This Mod

Change log:

-sousines rain mod added to the file section

-skellige immproved in 1. 01

-added in a readme folder in reloadedBBC

Description:

Benis ligthing mod covers the whole game except for Toussaint, it is based on Immersive Lighting. I have edited all main regions, weathers, interiors, quest lighting and the rest is using IL env`s. I will also post down bellow a guide to achieve the same result as me, these mods and reshade are required as i have edited the lighting whit these in mind.

there will be two main version, ReloadedBBC and HybridBBC, they are very similar but reloaded is a bit more grim and grey in Novigrad and Vellen.

Requirements:

1. you will need Ferroxius RESHADE:https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/7005

the reshade is performance friendly (will post my own settings in the files section)

2. you will also need to get Blitz FX, link here;https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/6447

this mod is amazing, thanks to KnighTec for all his work.

3. you will need Sousine rain edit to Blitz, you can get in the file section or in GM:https://discord.gg/BXnz269V2S in the #download section of the server, here is the message link:rainmod im using the less performance impact version.

In Game settings:

Bloom needs to be on ingame, i also heavily recommend to turn Lightshafts off as i never edit them and whit blitz it looks more then ok whit out them.

the rest is preference, i like to have ingame sharpness on low.

Blitz settings:

down bellow i posted my settings, the ones im not showing i have on

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Benis Lighting mod overhauls lighting across the entire Witcher 3 world except Toussaint, based on Immersive Lighting. It requires Ferroxius Reshade, Blitz FX, and Sousine rain edit, with two versions: ReloadedBBC (grimmer/greyer) and HybridBBC. Includes edited weathers, interiors, and quest lighting, plus a guide for matching the author's setup.

✨ Key Features

Covers all main regions, weathers, interiors, and quest lighting except Toussaint
Two versions: ReloadedBBC (more grim and grey in Novigrad and Vellen) and HybridBBC (similar but less grim)
Based on Immersive Lighting, with custom edits for a cohesive look
Requires Ferroxius Reshade, Blitz FX, and Sousine rain edit for intended visuals
Includes a guide to achieve the same result as the author
Performance-friendly reshade recommended

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 209 endorsements and nearly 7k downloads
  • Two distinct versions let you pick between grim/grey or a slightly brighter look
  • Built on Immersive Lighting, a solid base, so you know the foundation is good

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires three separate mods (Reshade, Blitz FX, Sousine rain) just to get the intended look—setup is a chore
  • No Toussaint coverage means you'll need another mod for that region if you want consistency
  • Last updated in 2022, so it may not be compatible with the latest game patches or other lighting mods
🎯 Is This For You?
For Witcher 3 players who want a dramatic, hand-tuned lighting overhaul and don't mind installing multiple dependencies. If you're a purist who wants a one-click install, this isn't for you. Skip if you prefer vanilla lighting or don't want to fiddle with Reshade and Blitz settings.
📦 Install:Hard· 15+ minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Turn off Lightshafts in-game—the author says they never edited them and Blitz handles it better without them.
  • Keep Bloom enabled in-game, as the mod is designed with it on.
  • Set in-game sharpness to low for the best look, as the author recommends.
