📋 About This Mod
Attack Collision Overhaul - Giants
The Problem
fyj3VS7SYYQ
052XO8tXn2U
you can see that the giant's hand is far away from the player but still hits.
The Fix
Unfortunately specifically this charge attack is not fixed for ice giants, only for cyclopses, god knows why.
The fix is separating the defined attack range name values,
defining them with proper offset angles and hit angles then using them for each attack animation.
I changed the template entity of the Giant-based enemies and changed attack range names with my new defined attack range names:
front_left45, front_right23, swing_left60 etc.
Compatibility
It is supposed to be compatible with everything except any mod that changes Giant-based monsters' animations or gameplay params.
I didn't see any mod that edits them, so it is compatible with everything.
But... W3EE (Redux) is changing the Giant entities. I tested with it and didn't see any problems or differences with giants.
So you are very safe to use my mod with W3EE and Redux, I am playing with it too. The key thing is giving priority to my mod against W3EE.
Please report to me if you find any other conflicts in the Script Merger.
Also don't forget to give priority to my mod against the mentioned mods.

FAQ
Check the conflicts with Script Merger and report to me which mod is conflicting with my mod.
- There are no conflicts, but it still can't hit me, why?
Probably other Giant-based monsters are fine but this specific Giant/Cyclops is broken.
Tell me who is this Giant/Cyclops and where you saw it, maybe I forgot to include it in my mod.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Directly addresses a common annoyance with giant enemy hitboxes
- Lightweight fix that doesn't overhaul other systems
- Recently updated (January 2026) and has a solid download count (49k)
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects Giants and Cyclops – other creatures remain untouched
- With only 177 endorsements, it's a niche fix that hasn't been widely vetted
For Skyrim players who've been frustrated by phantom hits or weird collision angles when fighting giants and cyclops. If you're a melee-focused player who fights these enemies often, this mod is a no-brainer. Skip it if you rarely engage with these monsters or prefer broader combat overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to load this mod after any mods that alter giant or cyclops skeletons or animations to avoid conflicts.
- If you use a mod manager, let it handle the file placement – it's a simple plugin, so no manual tweaks needed.
- Test combat against a giant camp early to see the difference; if you notice odd behavior, check for load order issues.
