B-17 Memphis Belle_324th BS_91st BG_8th AF_USAAF

A custom skin of the famed Memphis Belle who completed 25 missions and returned home to the states. This file includes the base skin, working damage texture with proper alpha channel for transparency, as well as normal and alpha maps that are defaults from the games template files.

Though she was not the first; the hell's angels would receive that distinction. There is no question however that she deserves the recognition she has received. This is my custom skin and I have tried to be as historically accurate as possible. The Memphis Belle was actually an F model as opposed to the B-17 E/L this skin is for. Also I found conflicting sources with regards to the art on the wheels. Some sources said they were red and blue opposite of the pinup displayed on that side. The obvious problem I ran into was that the way the skin is mapped allowed for only one color. I have also applied a camo pattern to the aircraft. I have also included the crew member's names on the aircraft though you can only read a few of them. This skin more closely resembles later schemes of the Memphis Belle. I may make an earlier one which features a more 'standard' block like font for the name instead of the script seen here. I completely redrew all the kill marks and stars and are accurate according to the references I used.

To install just extract the files and place the Memphis Belle_B17e_Late folder into your User Skins Folder located within your WarThunder directory. Then just select the skin from the user skins drop down menu within the customization screen in game.
