Better Backpacks - Stronger Backpack

Description

"Better backpacks" consists of 2 mods, which can be used independently of each other, or they can be used together. I felt that there was no real motivation to actually place anything inside the backpack yet, and using backpacks never really felt like it should to me.

This mod, stronger backpack, takes the vanilla buff to your carrying capacity while wearing a backpack and doubles it. So, it increases your overall carrying capacity. This can be tweaked.

The other mod, lighter backpack contents, can be found here: Lighter Backpack Contents - it gives you a good reason to actually put stuff in the backpack. When you place anything inside a backpack, their weight is halved by default. This can be tweaked to your preference.

Installation instructions

Each mod is independent. You can install either one or both.

• []Close VEIN.[/]

  []In Steam, right-click VEIN and select Manage > Browse local files.[/]

  []Open the Vein\Binaries\Win64 folder.[/]

  []Download the desired mod.[/]

  []Extract the downloaded ZIP directly into the Win64 folder.[/]

  []Allow Windows to merge the ue4ss folders if prompted.[/]

  []Start VEIN.[/]

For Stronger Backpack, the final path should be:

Vein\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\Stronger Backpack

For Lighter Backpack Contents, the final path should be:

Vein\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\Lighter Backpack Contents

Do not place the ZIP itself inside the Mods folder. Extract the contents of the ZIP into the Win64 folder.

Restart VEIN after installing a mod or changing its configuration.

UNINSTALLATION

These mods do not modify save files or replace original game files. No save cleanup or restoration is required.

Do not uninstall UE4SS if you use other UE4SS mods.

Main features

CONFIGURATION

Close VEIN before changing either modifier. Open the configuration file in Notepad, change the value, save the file, and then restart the game.

STRONGER BACKPACK

Vein\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\Stronger Backpack\Scripts\config.lua

Multiplier = 2. 0,

Change 2. 0 to your preferred modifier.

• []1. 0 = vanilla backpack capacity bonus[/]

  []1. 5 = 50% larger capacity bonus[/]

  []2. 0 = twice the vanilla bonus[/]

  []3. 0 = three times the vanilla bonus[/]

Keep the comma after the number.

Item and Container Modifier, BPModLoader, and BPML Generic Functions are not required.
