Chests Organizer

Press one key and your loot goes where it belongs. Every item in your inventory is put into the nearby chests that already hold the same item: wood goes to the wood chest, ores to the ore chest, and the rest stays with you.

It works like the game's own Place stacks button, but for all chests around you at once, and you don't have to open any of them.

Features

• []Hot key (L by default): works with or without the inventory open. When you look at a chest, the key is shown under Open.[/]

  []"Stack nearby" button under the chest window, next to the game's own buttons.[/]

  []Only chests that already hold the item. Existing stacks are filled first, then free slots. The closest chests are filled first. When one is full, the rest goes to the next chest that holds the item. Whatever doesn't fit anywhere stays in your inventory.[/]

  []Equipped items are never moved.[/]

  []Ignored items: middle-click an item in your inventory and items of that kind are never put away (arrows, food, coins, whatever you want to carry). Ignored items get a colored background. You can pick the color in the config.[/]

  []Summary message: how many items went into how many chests.[/]

  []English and Polish. Other languages show the English text.[/]

  Which chests are used

  Chests within 10 m (configurable) plus the chest you have open. Only built chests are used (wood chest, reinforced chest, black metal chest, barrels and so on). These are skipped:

  • []carts, ships, tombstones and dungeon chests[/]

    []private chests of other players[/]

    []chests inside another player's active ward[/]

    []chests another player has open right now[/]

    Multiplayer

    Each chest goes through the same request as the game's own Place stacks: the chest's owner checks access and hands the chest over before anything is moved, just like the vanilla button. Client-side only: the server and other players don't need the mod.

    Configuration

    File: BepInEx/config/pl.rookie.chestsorganizer.cfg. All settings can also be changed in-game with Configuration Manager (F1), without restarting the game.

    • []Enabled: turns the mod on or off (default: true)[/]

      []Radius: range in meters, 1-50 (default: 10)[/]

      []HotKey: the key that puts items away; None = no key (default: L)[/]

      []ShowButton: show the "Stack nearby" button under the chest window (default: true)[/]

      []ShowMessages: show the summary message (default: true)[/]

      • []ExcludedItems: item prefab names that are never moved, separated by commas, e.g. Wood,Coins,Tankard. Case sensitive. Middle-clicking an item adds it here or removes it.[/]

        []MiddleClickToggle: middle-clicking an item toggles whether it is ignored (default: true)[/]

        []ExcludedColor: background of ignored items: Orange, Yellow, Red, Green, Purple, Pink or White (default: Orange)[/]

        Compatibility

        • []Equipment and Quick Slots: items in its quick slots stay where they are.[/]

          []Should work with most other mods. The game's own Place stacks button works as before.[/]

          Installation

          • []Install BepInExPack for Valheim.[/]

            []Put ChestsOrganizer.dll in Valheim/BepInEx/plugins.[/]

            []Start the game.[/]

          To uninstall, delete the DLL. The mod stores nothing in your world or character.
