Makes GHG usable on surface at massively reduced performance. GHG 4km with etxra sailor bonus GHG Balkon 7km with extra sailor bonus DOES NOT WORK MANUALLY! - you have to trust your funkmeister here Range further reduced by motor speed (stay at zero or KF) USE CASE: Obviously your eyes are better most of the time. However, in fog or really dark nights when you cant see ANYTHING (darker nights enabled/ no moon) hydrophones on the surface make sense to keep track when shadowing a target. Diving every twenty minutes would be rough. Of course, RADAR post 1943 makes this a terrible idea. Relatively confident I read a KTB where this was done (terrible memory and cant remember which).
