The very first military vessel designed and built by the newly formed OMC for the young archipelago nation, the vital foundation upon which an entire navy was born from nothing. In the chaotic months following the declaration of independence, with no existing fleet, almost no industrial base, resources reduced to scraps and scavenged pre-war knowledge, the newly created Olympus Military Complex had concentrated all its power to create something simple, cheap, and immediately useful for the nation's territory. The Antares was that ship : a no-frills, low-tech multipurpose corvette deliberately built to the previous World War standards using readily available materials and systems to cram the most capabilities possible into it. It was never meant to be stealthy or cutting-edge but it was meant to work, right now and in numbers. Its primary mission in those early days was clear : a small versatile combatant that swept coastal waters or near seas of local threats, secured the vital short to medium-range logistical and commercial routes between the scattered islands, and gave the newborn nation its first real maritime breathing room.
