Overhauled . 30-30 & . 45-70 Lever-Action Ammunition & Zeroing

This mod completely rebalances the . 30-30 and . 45-70 lever-action cartridges in theHunter: Call of the Wild, bringing them up to speed with modern DLC ammunition. In the vanilla game, these classic rounds severely underperform due to weak terminal performance, excessive bullet drop, and restrictive zeroing ranges.

To give these iconic rifles the power and flexibility they deserve, the following adjustments have been made:

• []Improved Ballistics (Drag Coefficient): Reduced bullet drag for flatter trajectories and extended effective range, allowing for accurate long-range shots without extreme holdover.[/]

  []Increased Penetration: Boosted to ensure reliable passthroughs and clean vital-organ hits on target species.[/]

  []Enhanced Expansion: Expanded terminal deformation to create larger wound channels and drastically cut down tracking times.[/]

  []Higher Raw Damage: Scaled up overall damage output, giving both calibers the heavy-hitting punch needed to directly compete with top-tier DLC options.[/]

  []Extended Zeroing Ranges: Adjusted the zeroing distances for both the Whitlock Model 86 and the . 45-70 Alexander from 50m / 100m / 150m to 75m / 150m / 300m to fully complement their new long-range capabilities.[/]

With these changes, classic lever-actions are no longer limited to short-range brush hunting, turning them into fully viable, competitive choices for all engagement distances.

Installation

1. Copy the dropzone folder from chosen mod and place it in the COTW Install folder.

2. Steam\steamapps\common\theHunterCotW\ folder. Make sure "dropzone" folder is inside theHunterCotW folder.

3. Add the following line to CotW's steam launcher option, Mods wont work without these launch options!

 --vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive patch_win64 --vfs-archive archives_win64 --vfs-archive dlc_win64 --vfs-fs

In the Epic games launcher, under your Account

Go to settings scroll down

Open the game accordion TheHunter: Call of the wild

Check the last checkbox "Additional Command Line Arguments"

Put in the argument:

--vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive patch_win64 --vfs-archive archives_win64 --vfs-archive dlc_win64 --vfs-fs

Not tested on Epic so might not work.
