📋 About This Mod
This mod was made possible thanks to the Mod Structure Helper tool, made by Kallie23, the Texture Replacer tool by Indigocoder, CustomCraft3, as well as the Void Editor tool! Another massive thank you to Kallie23 for telling me how creature cloning actually works (and pretty much writing the code lol).
This mod requires BepinEx, Nautilus, Texture Replacer, Terrain Patcher, and the EpicStructureLoader. This mod is not designed to be compatible with the previous standalone Rising Waters preview releases (Grand Reef Shallows & Lonely Coral Plateaus), and it is highly suggested that you uninstall those before installing this. This mod is likely not compatible with many other structure helper mods currently available, so be careful with that.
Welcome to Subnautica: Rising Waters! This is a project planned to alter the game in ways intended to fit in with traditional vanilla gameplay while making the world feel more in-depth than it already is.
While it is not mandatory for this mod to function, this mod is compatible with and is intended to be experienced with its sibling mod Deeper Waters.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 241 endorsements and over 15k downloads.
- Actively updated (January 2026), so likely compatible with current game version.
- Adds a mix of content—creatures, biomes, recipes—so it's not just a one-trick pony.
⚠️ Cons
- Potential compatibility issues with other mods that alter the same biomes or creatures.
For Subnautica players who want to expand the world with new life and environmental changes without straying too far from the vanilla feel. If you're a completionist looking for fresh content, this is worth a shot. Skip if you prefer strictly vanilla or want major overhauls—this is more of a subtle expansion.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a mod for Subnautica, make sure you have the game updated to the latest version to avoid conflicts.
- If you use other mods, check load order—place Rising Waters after any biome-altering mods to ensure its changes take precedence.
- Back up your save before installing, just in case the new creatures cause unexpected issues.
