No protectorate

I had high hopes for enjoying this guy's mod at https://steamcommunity.com/id/580213, but found it didn't work after installing—my protectorates remained unchanged. I figured it might only take effect with newly acquired vassals, but releasing and declaring war again would take too long, especially since I’m playing on ironman mode. So, I decided to dig into the files myself. Turns out, the original creator didn’t modify the protectorate toggle. After making the change, I suddenly heard a voice from nowhere telling me: “Now’s the time to share this with everyone.” Of course, I couldn’t just modify and republish the original creator’s mod files directly. So, I extracted the game’s original files, made the adjustments, and used those instead. Now, both newly acquired vassals and existing ones in old saves should no longer become protectorates. If your vassals still show as protectorates after applying the mod, don’t panic—just let some time pass and wait for the trigger to update. Already compatible with version v4. 1. 7. As long as the developers don’t make major changes to the agreement-related files, this should theoretically work indefinitely. (If they do, feel free to give me a heads-up.) If this mod helps you out, please consider leaving an endorsement for my mod!
