More Character Portraits

More Character Portraits adds thematically-appropriate portraits to the game for both the player and the various game factions to select from.

These portraits are distributed as follows:

  Unless otherwise stated, the portraits for More Character Portraits were primarily created by kitbashing vanilla Starsector portraits (i.e. swapping heads with armor, etc) and then stitching the composites together using Stable Diffusion (AUTOMATIC1111) via the img2img process to create derivative images, with post-process editing in Photoshop (color tone, resizing, adding additional details, etc) to create the final versions included within this pack.

  More Character Portraits - Individual Mod Expansion Packs

  Provides additional portraits (and optional replacements) to several mod factions:

  41 new portraits for Diable Avionics.

  28 new portraits for the Interstellar Imperium.

  38 new portraits to the game for the Xhan Empire.

  28 new portraits to the game for United Pamed.

  Please note that these portraits are neither supported nor endorsed by the authors of the faction mods, may not represent the faction author's "vision" of how officers of that faction might look, and should not be considered "official" in any capacity.

  Note¹: This pack does not require any of the mods that it adds portraits to. All portraits are available for player character use. Portraits for specific factions will only appear in-game if that faction is installed. Refer to the included readme file for more details.

  Note²: In collaboration with Caymon Joestar, an optional standalone version of the Diable Avionics portraits can be found via the Diable Avionics forum page. (Below the "Click here to download" button). The portraits included in the standalone pack are identical to the ones found here, so you don't need both.
