📋 About This Mod
KNLx6hR6zAs
As originally featured in Starfield Essentials. Kudos to Richard!
Hello again! The main component adds 14 (now 17) skins to the flightsuit family of apparel for you to mix and match with your crew.
With optional integration that adds variety to NPC outfits. full NPC integration since v1. 100.
Small master file for zero plugin footprint.
Contains the following:
Black Red Yellow Pink Teal Olive
White Green Orange Violet Brown Crimson Blue+Orange
Added in v1. 200: Grey, Jade, and Constellation (Enjoy guys!)
All the possible variants in display. (Pre v1. 200)
The second component would be the integration of the skin packs unto the NPC outfits. Meaning crews will have different colored flightsuits according to their "department," (Outpost crew are green, Weapons are brown, Non-Weapons are Teal/Violet), and you can screen them visually when you get to their usual areas. Pirates will bear their colors, of course. Otherwise other npcs (usually the special ones) are kept vanilla. (As of 1. 2 they will have a chance to spawn in different, but generally neutral colors). These are hard edits to their records, in case of compatibility concerns.
How'd you get that? I want that too!
To have the skins on the NPC's you need both files installed. But if you want to keep things simple just get the first file. On mid-playthroughs these will be applied on newly generated NPC's
(As of 1. 100, NPC integration is already included. Specialists are still color coded by department, Pirates get the crimson flightsuit, Moara gets a Blue+Orange flightsuit. Jade Swan crew get matching colors with their ship, while Cargo Haulers are now a mix of Jade Swan and SY920 (grey) crew to hopefully better reflect the cargo loading environment.)
It didn't make sense for me that one guy only shows up to do the loading. The background dialogue between haulers may not reflect that; but we only know it's the case because we are already metagaming with the collective information that we know from repeatedly playing the game. But as a random rook going after the comspike for the first time, what they're talking about shouldn't make sense to us, initially that is.
Heyyyy, how come some of the npc's are still
Adds 17 new skins to the flightsuit family in Starfield, allowing players to customize their character's look. Includes integration for V+ NPC variety, and comes as a small master file. A straightforward cosmetic expansion for flightsuit enthusiasts.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- 17 skins give you plenty of options to stand out in the Settled Systems.
- V+ NPC integration means you'll see these skins in the wild, not just on yourself.
- Small master file keeps your load order light and performance-friendly.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects flightsuits, so if you don't wear them often, this mod won't do much for you.
- No preview images or detailed breakdown of each skin, so you're going in blind.
- Compatibility with other mods that alter flightsuit textures could cause conflicts.
For Starfield players who love the flightsuit aesthetic and want more variety without overhauling the whole game. If you're a fashion-focused explorer who likes to mix and match, this is a solid pick. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or if flightsuits aren't your thing.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a small master file, place it early in your load order to avoid conflicts with other apparel mods.
- Check the V+ NPC integration settings if you have that mod installed, to ensure the skins appear on NPCs as intended.
- Use a mod manager to easily toggle this mod on and off if you want to test it against other texture mods.
