ScrN Fast Weapon Switching and Aiming

Vanilla Problems

I consider vanilla weapon switching speed absurdly slow and doesn't fit the overall gameplay pace. Some may say it is realistic, but I disagree. While drawing a weapon from a holster takes some time, slowly raising or lowering it to aim at the center of the screen while a Bloodsucker is running at you is ridiculous. Stalker2's weapon draw/holster animations are not realistic (unless they are mocapped from a sloth).

ScrN Fast Weapon Switching

This small mod keeps vanilla weapon balancing, changing only the times for switching, drawing, and holstering (2x faster).

ScrN Faster Weapon Aiming

Improved weapon upgrades that increase aiming speed:

• []+5% Weapon Aim => +15%.

  []+7% => +20%

  []+10% => +25%

  []+15% => +40%

  Installation

  Unzip the PAK file into the "S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods\" directory. If the "~mods" folder doesn't exist, create it.

  After the installation, there should be the "S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods\zzzz_ScrN_FastWeaponSwitching_vX. Y. Z_P.pak" file, where X, Y, Z are version numbers.

  • Faster Aiming can break weapon handling when used with other mods that improve aiming, such as Better Ballistics Redux. There is an optional version that improves weapon switching only.
