📋 About This Mod

This mod aims to fix issues with Ambient Occlusion and how it affects native & non-native textures. It's a simple mod that adds lore friendly static objects in certain areas of the world, where's Ambient Occlusion is an issue. (Will also add small texture transition fixes the same way)

Keep in mind that these issues may not be as prominent with Vanilla Textures, or other texture mods that try to stay true to the original, but they are still visible issues.

Disclaimer! I am using texture mods currently so the additions this mod does may not perfectly fit with Vanilla textures and depending on the textures you are using your mileage may vary.

As an addition I will go through-out the world (Mostly cities) and try my best to find unnatural object placements that cause similar eye sore when seen.

What does this mod NOT do?

Very simple answer; Texture transitions in larger scale or if the texture transition already looks natural enough.

A good example would be cell-wide transition from a grass field to plains or a cell that exceeds texture limit and causes larger issues with transition in that cell.

I will look into those issues of course, but this is a very simple mod and a very simple solution for small problems. Keep that in mind when reporting. :)

This mod will nod fix issues with the textures themselves or how AO causes weird issues in Skyrim SE.

!EXAMPLE!

Version 0. 1 Fixes

- Windhelm Bridge AO (Mostly visible with NobleSkyrimMod HD-2K)

Planned Fixes

~10 issues that include AO problems and unnatural object placements inside Windhelm

Compatible

No snow under the roof by; PROMETHEUS_ts (Load after SEF)

iNEED by; isoku (Load after SEF, fixes one snowdrift to active)

Incompatible

None I have found, but due to the nature of this mod there will be some. Mods that alter cities are a big one that I will have to make a patch for when needed.

Is this coming to Oldrim?

Short answer; NO! Long answer; I will give permission to a trusted modder to revert it back to Oldrim (If that is even possible) just contact me before you do anything.

HELP NEEDED!

Nothing helps more than the thousands of eyes that play this game, finding the issues alone would be like trying to find a need

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved fix with 853 endorsements and over 31k downloads—clearly helps a lot of players.
  • Targets a real visual annoyance: Ambient Occlusion glitches on textures, which can break immersion.
  • Lore-friendly static objects mean you won't get immersion-breaking modern props plopped into the wasteland.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2016, so it may not be fully compatible with the latest Fallout 4 patches or DLC.
  • Adds static objects, which could conflict with other mods that alter the same world spaces.
  • Limited scope—only fixes AO issues in specific areas, not a comprehensive visual overhaul.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Fallout 4 players who notice Ambient Occlusion glitches on textures and want a lightweight, lore-friendly fix without overhauling the game's visuals. Skip if you're using heavy visual mods that already address AO or if you prefer a more comprehensive texture overhaul.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you're using a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager or Vortex, install this mod through the manager to keep your load order clean.
  • Place this mod early in your load order to ensure its static objects don't get overwritten by other mods that edit the same cells.
  • Since it's from 2016, check if you have the latest Fallout 4 patches—if you encounter issues, try disabling other mods that affect the same areas.
