📋 About This Mod

SkyVRaan - 2. 0. 0 Update!

SkyVRaan is now updated for use with Cubemap Reflections and Community Shaders. All watertypes have been worked, and now there are three watercolor options! All ESP plugins have now been flagged as ESLs. It includes versions for Realistic Water 2 and Vanilla.

In case anyone is not using either of these mods, the 1. 5. 1 version of SkyVRaan is available in the Misc. files section, and the original mod description is copied over in the Articles.

What's Included

Watercolor Patch

  • []This esp includes tweaks to the water colors and water type parameters. These have been adjusted to change color more naturally with the weather and time of day. There are three options:
    • []Natural - This is the option which I feel gives the best all around look for Skyrim's water. It's the result of hours of tweaking and adjustments. The visibility of shallow streams, like the one in front of Whiterun, has been improved as well. It has been tweaked to allow the weather color to have a stronger influence on the overall scene, making the water look like it fits during all times of day and in all weathers. I have tried to create realistic transparency and coloring, while making shallow water more visible. (Weather Patching Strongly Recommended. See Below)

[]Ilinalta - Inspired by the colors in the mod Ilinalta - Realistic Water Transparency combined with my fog settings. This water has more color than the natural preset, but does get some influence from the weather. I find these colors to feel very realistic. (Weather Patching Strongly Recommended. See Below)

[]Fantasy - I've always thought Lake Ilinalta should be a glacier lake, and I thought it would be fun to make. The result is something completely different with the Fantasy Water color. This has been reworked for 2. 0. 0 using photos I took visiting JiuZhaiGou for reference.

      • []Two additional water colors for volcanic water and one for blackreach water are also included as separate plugins

      • []I've tweaked the water to make the waterline more visible. This gets rid of the invisible water that is sometimes apparent in VR, but it exposes some vanilla landscaping that could have used more polish. I recommend using a mod like Smooth Shores SSE in addition to SkyVRaan.

NOTE REGARDING COMMUNITY SHADERS: Community Shaders currently hard codes several of the water parameters. With the vanilla water I have some control over the color of the LOD and the strength of reflections, but Community Shaders in its current state removes some of the handles I
