Skyrim Children Refine (NPC Appearance Overhaul - Eye Colors - Skin Details - Simple - Fixes)

DESCRIPTION

None of the overhauls available on Nexus ever sat well with me, so I would stick with vanilla. Potato heads and all. To each their own!

Over the years I've started to make my own changes, fixing the problems I've noticed – maybe this is the "overhaul" you've been looking for.

In the base game, most children are left with race default hair colors, skin colors, and have brown eyes due to lacking texture sets.

Now all children are given distinct hair colors, eye colors, skin tones, or blemishes that reflect their parents and improve diversity.

Additional changes have been made, including minor "bugfixes" and improvements to compliment other mods. Like my Refine Series.

Because the newly added face textures are detail maps and eyes are texture sets, this mod is entirely compatible with your own textures.

This also means that there is no need for patching child NPCs added by other mods. However, expansions may be added at later dates.

The scope of this plugin is to provide as minimal of changes as possible. Thus, not all eye colors are covered, and no new hairstyles are added.

To ensure this mod plays nicely with ENBs and weather mods, minimal changes have been made to skin color unless deemed necessary.

INSTALLATION

Installation instructions are as follows...

■  Strongly Recommended – Download and install Rustic Children.

■  I use a personal edit of this texture, but I recommend the Filthy Urchins or Softer Lashes variant.

■  Install Skyrim Children Refine and let it overwrite all content if asked.

This mod is only intended to be used with the vanilla children and is unsupported with other overhauls.

There's a small chance it may work with others. Unless there is demand, there are no plans to support other overhauls.

■  Eye colors have been changed to match the color of their parents, typically preferring the mother.

■  In Vanilla, all children are assigned Brown color eyes.

■  In Vanilla, Lars Battle-Born has parents with both Green and Blue eyes.
