Sapphire's Overhauled Skin

There's quite a long-winded story behind how we got here but, in short, I got quite attached to a texture mash-up I made of Real Girls Realistic Body, Mature Skin, and Vobla's excellent Sapphire's Skin. I hope you enjoy it.

Can be installed either as a general skin replacer or with a plugin that will make it exclusive to redguard women.

Compatibility

This texture is designed to be installed on top of multiple set-ups, but I would recommend Bijin Skin or ALT1 as bases. You can now use any CBBE or UNP-compatible bodies that you'd like.

The general replacer version of this skin should have no incompatibility issues.

For those using the redguard-only version:

• []A patch for CBBE Muscle Solution is offered.

  []You will need to patch it if using it together with with Schlongs of Skyrim – Light. You can do this using xEdit.

  []If you are using a mod that adds any female redguards, you will have to generate new face data for them.

  []It will be compatible out of the box with Bijin and other NPC overhauls that use their own skin for overhauled characters.

  []For NPC overhauls that do not provide their own skin for edited characters, patching is easy and a method is provided below.

  How do I generate face data for redguards?

  If you want to use this skin exclusively for redguards and you have any mod-added female redguards (not the same as NPC overhauls) you will have to generate new face data for these redguards to avoid neck seams. I would recommend using Creation Kit Fixes. Instructions are as follows:

  • []Open up the creation kit. Load plugins. Double click any plugins that add female redguards, as well as Sapphire's Overhauled Skin - Redguard Only.esp.

    []Navigate to Actors → Actor → actor → RedguardRace → Female (click the little plus icons on the left).

    []Click on Female and select everything that appears (click on the top name, scroll to the bottom, hold shift, and click on the bottom name).

    []Press Ctrl + F4.

    How do I make the redguard-only version compatible with NPC overhauls that do not use custom skin?

    You can make the redguard-only version of this mod compatible with NPC overhauls (such as Pandorable's) that do not use custom skin for their overhauls. This is unnecessary for NPC overhauls that do not touch redguards or that have skin textures included.

    []Check the mod to see which female redguards it edits.

    []Look them up on the UESP and note down their BaseIDs.

    []Open up the mod folder and search for the BaseID. Open up the .nif file in NIFSkope.
