...which is a sort of spiritual successor to this one. (but both mods work still, so it's up to you)

Version 2. 0 adds a second (weaker) speed boost that applies when you don't qualify for the "Light Load" but are still a good deal under max carry capacity. This "modest load" speed boost will be about half of what the full "Light Load" boost is, for whichever version you choose.

5% faster speed. (3% for "modest load")
8% faster speed. (4% for "modest load")
10% faster speed. (5% for "modest load")
12% faster speed. (6% for "modest load")
15% faster speed. (8% for "modest load") *
20% faster speed. (10% for "modest load")

(The 15% version is the main vortex file)
(There are NO "unarmored bonus" versions of 2. 0 as of now, so if that is crucial to you, stick with 1. 0 for now. I may or may not make "unarmored bonus" versions of 2. 0 in the future)

You have better speed when well under your max carry capacity. There are 4 versions to choose from in main files...

Look in the optional files if you also want a speed boost when wearing NO ARMOR (clothing is fine).
(These are the files that say "plus UA". UA stands for Unarmored, meaning you get the speed boost if you have no "armor" equipped on your head, body, hands, or feet. "Clothing" is not considered "armor".)
The speed boost for UA (unarmored) functions independently from the LL (light load) speed boost, so yes, both effects could be active simultaneously. Keep this in mind before choosing, say, the 20% option, because if/when you aren't wearing armor AND have a light inventory at once, a 40% speed buff may be a bit much. (thus, I recently added two more options to the "plus UA" optional files, 8%, and 12%, for those like me always trying to find that "just right" setting)

Light Load is a gameplay mod that grants a speed boost when you're well under your max carry capacity, with multiple intensity options from 5% to 25%. Version 2.0 adds a weaker 'modest load' boost for when you're still under capacity but not light. It has 32 endorsements and was last updated in April 2025.

💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using Vortex, the main file is the 15% version—pick the one that fits your playstyle from the options.
- For version 1.0, grab the 'plus UA' optional files if you want the unarmored bonus—they're separate downloads.
- Since this is a gameplay tweak, make sure it's compatible with any other movement or carry weight mods you have.
