📋 About This Mod
These hooded cloaks were never meant to be visible on Skeleton corpses. The meshes for these cloaks are tied to nodes on multiple limbs, but Skeletons break apart when killed and that results in the mesh of the cloak stretching infinitely after they die.
This is not an issue in the Vanilla game because Skeleton actors from Vanilla that use a hooded cloak have a script attached in their record that makes them unequip the cloak upon death. Unfortunately one of the outfit edits from WACCF wasn't made with that in mind.
The problematic actor is not a live Skeleton enemy but a Skeleton corpse, so I replaced the outfit in its record with a copy of it that has the cloak removed.
This specific actor/corpse is used 4 times in the Vanilla game, and if any mod adds that corpse elsewhere they should now be free of this bug as well.
This issue did get reported on the WACCF mod page but unfortunately it was never addressed. If kryptopyr ever integrates this fix I'll be sure to notify users that they no longer need this.
Load order:
Put this right below the WACCF esp.
This plugin doesn't actually require WACCF to be installed and I chose not to add it as master, so if there was another mod that caused the same issue by editing the same actor then this could potentially fix it for that mod too. I added WACCF as a requirement on here so that it appears on WACCF's page to help users find this.
My other mods:
Natural Hair Colors

Faster Horse Dismount SSE
Faster Reanimation
Less Bright Teeth for Expressive Facegen Morphs
Majestic Mountains - Mesh Tangent Space Fixes
This small bug fix plugin addresses a visual glitch caused by WACCF where certain Skeleton mage corpses display a hooded cloak incorrectly. It removes the hooded cloak from those specific corpses without altering other outfits. Ideal for players using WACCF who want a cleaner look.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Targeted fix—doesn't touch other outfits, so no collateral changes
- Solid track record: 503 endorsements and over 31k downloads
- Lightweight plugin, easy to slot into your load order
⚠️ Cons
- Only relevant if you use WACCF—otherwise pointless
- Last updated in 2021, so may not be tested with newer game versions
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter those same corpses
For Skyrim players who run WACCF and notice the hooded cloak glitch on Skeleton mage corpses. If you don't use WACCF or don't care about that visual bug, skip it—it's purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place this plugin after WACCF in your load order so the fix overrides the outfit change.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to install—it's just a single ESP.
- If you see other skeleton-related glitches, check for conflicts with other mods that edit those actors.
