DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Vortex Extension

This extension adds DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined modding support to Vortex Mod Manager.

✅ Supported Versions:

• []Steam

  []❌ Steam Demo  is NOT supported for technical reasons (uses different executable and root folder names)

  []Other versions may need to select the game folder manually.

• []UE Pak (.pak/.ucas/.utoc) mods will be installed to the correct "Paks/~mods" folder automatically and are sortable in the Load Order tab.  FOMOD installers will place files here, but they will not be sortable in the Load Order.

  []The UE4SS mod will be installed next to the game's shipping executable. This extension is setup for the new UE4SS folder structure "ue4ss/Mods".

  []UE4SS Script mods will be installed to the "ue4ss/Mods" folder. An "enabled.txt" file will be written to the mod if it was not included by the author.

  []UE4SS DLL mods will be installed to the "ue4ss/Mods" folder. An "enabled.txt" file will be written to the mod if it was not included by the author.

  []UE4SS LogicMod (Blueprint) mods will be installed to the "Paks/LogicMods" folder. The mod MUST include a "LogicMods" folder above the pak files to trigger this installer.

  []Installs mods containing a "DQ7R" folder to the game root folder.

  []Installs mods with any of ['Content', 'Binaries', 'Plugins', 'Mods'] folders inside the "DQ7R" folder.

  []Config files (.ini) are installed to the correct folder. - Only works if game, staging folder, and user folder are ALL on C Drive (limitation of hardlinks).

  []Save files (.sav) are installed to the correct folder. - Only works if game, staging folder, and user folder are ALL on C Drive (limitation of hardlinks). - Only for Steam game version.

  []Any other mods not described above will be installed in the "Binaries" folder by the shipping executable.

• []UE4SS LogicMod (Blueprint) Mod Authors - You MUST include a "LogicMods" folder above your .pak file in order for this extension to install the mod to the correct location. Without this, there is no way to differentiate between LogicMod paks and regular pak mods.

  📋 Usage Notes:

  • []You can open several useful files and folders using the buttons within the folder icon on the Mods toolbar.
