S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl Vortex Extension

This extension adds S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl modding support to Vortex Mod Manager.

This game does not support symlinks. You must have the mod staging folder and the game on the same drive to use this extension. 

Add the game in the Vortex "Games" tab. You have to include the periods when searching "S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2". Or it will be near the top of the list when sorting games by "Most Recent".

UE4SS LogicMod (Blueprint) Mod Authors - You MUST include a "LogicMods" folder above your .pak file in order for this extension to install the mod to the correct location. Without this, there is no way to differentiate between LogicMod paks and regular pak mods. 

A configuration mod merger tool is now available. The extension will present the user with a notification asking them to download the tool: https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/369

  🛠️Mod Installation Notes:

  • []The user has the option to download and install the Simple Mod Merger tool from a notification. The tool can be run from the Dashboard tab in Vortex after installation.[/]

    []UE5 Pak mods will be installed to the correct ~mods folder automatically and are sortable in the Load Order tab.  [/]

    []The UE4SS mod will be installed next to the game's shipping executable.[/]

    []UE4SS Script mods will be installed to the correct folder. An "enabled.txt" file will be written to the mod if it was not included by the author.[/]

    []UE4SS DLL mods will be installed to the correct folder. An "enabled.txt" file will be written to the mod if it was not included by the author.[/]

    []UE4SS LogicMod (Blueprint) mods will be installed using mod type "UE4SS LogicMods (Blueprint)". [/]

    []Mods for Herbata's Mod-as-DLC Loader will be installed to the correct folder. Run the tool from the Dashboard tab to generate the pak for your installed mods. If you Purge mods in Vortex, you'll need to run the tool again after re-deploying mods.[/]

    []Other mods that need to go to the game folder can use mod type "Root Game Folder".[/]

    []Any other mods will be installed in the "Binaries" folder by the shipping executable. [/]

    []Config files (.ini) are installed to the correct Local AppData folder. - Only works if game, staging folder, and Local AppData are ALL on C Drive (limitation of hardlinks).[/]

    []Save files (.sav) are installed to the correct Local AppData folder. Steam version only. - Only works if game, staging folder, and user home are ALL on the same drive partition (limitation of hardlinks).[/]
