DOOM I and II (UZDoom) Vortex Extension

This extension adds DOOM I + II in UZDoom (source port) modding support to Vortex Mod Manager. Automatically installs DML and UZDoom. Checks for UZDoom and DML updates.

This extension will automatically download and install DML and UZDoom for the user. This extension is built on top of these open-source software packages. Vortex checks for DML and UZDoom updates when Vortex runs an update check

• []If you own DOOM 3: BFG Edition or DOOM Eternal, WADs are included in their game files ("base/wads" and "base/classicwads", respectively).[/]

  🛠️Mod Installation Notes:

  • []Automatically installs DML and UZDoom.[/]

    []Installs mods (".wad", ".pk3", ".zip", ".pak", ".pk7", ".grp", ".rff", ".deh", ".iwad", ".ipk3") for UZDoom to the correct folder for DML to detect them automatically.[/]

    []Installs game wads ("IWADs") to the correct folder for DML to detect them automatically.[/]

    []Checks for updates to UZDoom and DML when the user runs a Vortex mod update check.[/]

  📋Usage Notes:
  • []There is no restriction on what folder you choose for installation. Everything will be contained with a top level folder for DML, but please be mindful to select a sensible installation folder where your Windows user account has write access.[/]

    []The user must configure DML after launching the first time.[/]

    []You can open several useful files/folders/URLs using the buttons within the folder icon on the Mods page toolbar.[/]
